homespun
Weaving is always something I've wanted to try, and one of my goals for this year was to learn. My Mom's weavings are still hung on the walls of my childhood home, and to me it's so special to be able to work slowly on a craft and then share it with others.
▲ materials:
naturally dyed yarn, responsibly-sourced from Peru from Americo Original
chunky wool from Wool and the Gang
▲ measurements:
woven on a 30 x 30 inch loom, made by Roving Textiles (her Dad handmade the loom!)
1cm pendant
♥ happy details:
the proceeds from this sale will be donated towards tumour research. September is Desmoid Awareness Month and there are 6 incredible grants which have been awarded to institutions that are involved with leading edge research that I am proud to support. For more information, please visit their website: https://dtrf.org/dtrf-grant-awards/
▲ care:
natural fibres should maintain their original colours, but if hung on a sunny wall it may get discoloured faster
